FAU tacked on another victory for eight straight
The FAU Owls Women's Tennis remains unbeaten in the last eight games

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Florida Atlantic Lady Owls (8-1, AAC 3-0) tacked on another victory to remain unbeaten in the last eight games, defeated in the AAC match 4-1, the University of North Florida Ospreys (4-4), Saturday morning.
The Lady Owls stayed hot and wasted no time in doubles with a one-two punch victory.
The duo of Victoria Gomez O'Hayon and Millie-Mae Matthews knocked down the Ospreys, Amy Kaplan and Alisa Lyshko, 6-2, followed by Carla Galmiche and Lexi Silna, who took down 6-3, the other Ospreys' pair Kendall Nash and Anslee Long, in that order of finish, leaving court #3 unfinished to give FAU a 1-0 lead.
The Owls kept working in singles and took a 2-0 lead with Bartha, defeated Kaplan of North Florida in a straight set on court #1, 6-2, 6-2, to remain undefeated.
Nash of North Florida claimed victory on court #3 in three-set 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, defeated Galmiche of FAU to bring the Ospreys' score within one down to 1-2.
After a tough loss against South Alabama, the Spaniard O' Hayon redeemed herself with a victory 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 against the Osprey Sofia Snitko on court #2 to give the FAU a 3-1 lead.
The Owl Amber McGinnis secured the win for FAU after coming down the first set 6-2 to win the next two 6-2, 6-3 against Jasmin Makela of North Florida.
The Lady Owls will continue their impressive winning season back home in another AAC match against Tulane (6-3) on Friday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
