Twenty-three Grand Slams of hard work, determination, and skills by Novak Djokovic, etched his name in the annals of tennis history. The Serbian secured his 23rd Grand Slam title, becoming the most decorated ahead of the legendary Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
In an attendance full of superstars from the French Soccer player Kylian Mbappé to the American Football quarterback legend Tom Brady, Djokovic shows his unyielding mental dominance over his opponent Casper Ruud defeated Casper Ruud 7-6(1), 6-3, 7-5 to claim a record 23 major titles.
Down two games, 2-4 in the first set, Djokovic went to his arsenal of shots and displayed his unparallel mental toughness in a series of long rallies with Ruud to win the first set 7-6.
The 36-year-old would breeze in the second set 6-3, and eventually, 7-5 in the third set for his twenty-third Grand Slam for the crown as the only player to win all four majors three or times.
Sitting on top of all time-record, Djokovic believes everything happens for a reason and is grateful for the rivalries against the greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nada.
" They are a significant part of the success of who I am as a player today," said Novak Djokovic. "No doubt, the rivalries I had with both of these guys are the biggest rivalries I ever had, and they define me as a player."
As Djokovic celebrates this milestone, he has not shown any signs of slowing down and relinquishing his dominance on a tennis court.
