Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Inter Miami will clash against Charlotte FC in a riveting Leagues Cup quarterfinal showdown in Fort Lauderdale at the DRV PNK Stadium on Friday, 11.

Securing their spot in the final eight was no easy feat for Inter, who clinched a thrilling victory over FC Dallas in a captivating shootout. The game unfolded in a heart-pounding 4-4 draw, with both teams displaying prowess.

Lionel Messi netted the opening goal in the 6-minute, courtesy of a well-timed assist from his former Barcelona teammate, Jordi Alba.

FC Dallas, however, mounted a resurgence and took a commanding 4-2 lead by the 69-minute. But Messi's influence endured as his cross inadvertently found the back of the net through an own goal by Marco Farfan in the 80-minute.

The maestro, Messi, would then seal the dramatic comeback with a flawless free-kick in the 84-minute, paving the way for a penalty shootout.

From the spot, Messi remained undeterred, leading his team to a resounding 5-3 victory.

In a parallel narrative, Charlotte FC overcame Houston Dynamo with a resilient 2-1 comeback triumph in the prior round. Despite Corey Baird's early goal for Dynamo in the 10-minute, Patrick Agyemang leveled the playing field in the 80-minute. But a mere minute later, Micael scored an own goal to give Charlotte FC the victory.

This head-to-head matchup will mark Inter Miami CF and Charlotte FC as their fourth meeting, with Inter holding a 2-1 advantage.

Impressively, nine out of Inter's last ten matches across various competitions, including the past seven, have featured at least three goals. Whereas Charlotte's struggles on the road persist, having gone without a victory in their last six away games across competitions.

Lionel Messi's integration into Miami's roster has yielded remarkable results, with the talisman finding the net in all four games he's played, amassing a total of seven goals.

The game will kick off at the DRV PNK stadium in Fort Lauderdale at 8:30 p.m. local time.
